Simulation and Interprofessional Education Center (SIEC)
Located in the School of Medicine, the SIEC provides high fidelity simulation in state-of-the-art simulation bays that give learners a fully immersive experience. Each bay can be configured to resemble a variety of clinical settings. Trainees practice with computerized manikins programmed to exhibit specific symptoms. This allows trainees to practice team skill and clinical decision making in real time. Control rooms allow instructors to direct and observe ongoing sessions behind one-way mirrors. Each bay is complemented with a debriefing room. Training can be recorded, if needed, for review and feedback during debriefing.
